SPAIN: Metro de Sevilla has awarded Alstom a contract for the maintenance and upgrading of its signalling systems.
This covers trackside signals, track circuits, point machines and technical rooms, as well as onboard equipment.
The work will include the renewal of interlockings, hardware upgrades and tools for fixed trackside balises, the supply of spare parts, repair works, renewal of onboard equipment and the driver-machine interface and staff training.
‘We have partnered with Metro de Sevilla since its inauguration in 2009, and our aim is to continue delivering the best service to the citizens and visitors’, said Luciano Barbieri, Alstom Managing Director of Design & Installation of Signalling, Spain & Portugal, on June 11.
